The Squad

Welcome the official Hoot + Co Squad!

Location - I live with Allie, Gator, and my husband Tony in Orange County, California 

 

I am a resident physician in ear, nose, and throat surgery. Unfortunately that leaves me with little time outside of work, but all of that time I spend with Allie, Gator, and Tony.  Tony is big into the outdoors and is an avid mountain biker.  Eventually we hope to be able to take the dogs mountain biking with him, but for now our hikes will have to do.  We also love traveling up to Chico, California to visit family with the dogs.  There’s so much more space up north to explore with the dogs and give them a bit more freedom. 

Allie and Gator are not related, but you'd think they were based on how much they love each other!  Allie is the baby of the family; a huge cuddle monster.  She likes nothing better than curl up in your lap and kiss your face.  She warms up to people quickly and is very affectionate!  She can also be a bit cheeky, truth be told.  Gator is a little more reserved in personality, but he is the biggest sweetheart!  He is very responsive and wants nothing more than to hear the words "good dog."  Together they are the perfect team.  My life is so different since getting Gator a year and a half ago and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. 

Goodness that is a good question.  It was so long ago I'm not even sure!  I think by seeing the products on instagram on other dogs I fell in love.  It wasn’t until I got my first bandana, though, that I realized how high quality the product is!  Now that I've started to add an extra snap for Allie's bandana, every bandana is always perfectly made to fit. 

My favorite print is hands down the Benson holiday bandana.  The colors are so vibrant and the combination is perfect for wintertime. Outside of the holiday bandanas, however, my favorite is the floral daybreak bandana.  It’s a rare mix of colors and patterns that work for every season. I can't get over how beautiful it looks on Allie. 

It may sound cheesy, but it’s the look I see on Gators face when I take out a bandana to put on him.  He is such a vain little man!  Nothing makes him happier than new collars, bandanas, and bows. We also get lots of compliments on them, which is a nice bonus!  Finally, when we go to the beach they help to keep the dogs cool in the hot weather.

We just love to explore and adventure through life together! Photography, crafting, and teaching are my personal passions. Mushing, hiking, obedience/therapy training, and playing are things I love to do most with Willow! 

Willow is a Siberian husky full of energy! She loves going for long walks, mushing, playing with all of her favorite toys! She makes our lives so much better just by being in them!

Location - We live in Southern California.

I am a full-time student, currently completing my senior year in college. I have an interest in photography and art and love to take photos of my family, friends, and my beautiful dogs. I ended up with so many photos of my dogs, that I decided to create a page especially for them called crazyaboutspots. I usually take my Border Collies on a run each day and try to capture moments throughout their playful adventures. 

Willow is a one-year-old, chocolate-lilac merle Border Collie. She came as the perfect Valentine gift in 2015. In one year she has amazed us in countless ways and somehow puts a smile on the face of everyone she meets. She has a big and goofy personality, but soft and gentle ways. Maya is a 9-year-old, blue merle Border Collie. She came to us from a farm in Tennessee. Since the first day Maya came home, she has always been a loyal and intelligent friend. These two girls spend all their time looking for fun and adventure!

I found Hoot & Co on Instagram of course! The creative style of Hoot & Co stood out and a friend recommended I switch it up a bit with some bandanas and bows for the girls. 

Currently our favorite prints are The Savannah Flannel and the Plum Arrow.

Hoot & Co offers creative prints and a wide variety of styles. After discovering Hoot and Co, I knew this was the shop for us! Each Hoot & Co product I have received has been incredible quality. We always receive the best customer service the girls maintain their style throughout the year!

Location - We currently reside in San Marcos, TX 

I have a great passion for art. I love photography, music, dance, and makeup. Seriously, I'm not sure whether or not I should be ashamed about the number of lipsticks I own. Above all, time with my furbabies is the best. Snuggling and watching scary movies? YES please!!!

Ruckus is our accident-prone child. No joke. He's a hot mess. A snakebite and four corneal ulcers in two months? Yikes! He's super sweet and loves to work. He goes absolutely bananas when it comes time to go hunting. We call Ruckus chubs because he loooves food. He will wait by the pantry in the morning before doing anything else. That boy will slobber in his food bowl more than any dog I've ever seen! Ransom is the baby of the family, and he knows it! They're both spoiled but Ransom is a high maintenance baby. He will sit in the bedroom at night and bark at me until I come give him cuddles. Our routine is to always snuggle before bed time. Love it. Ransom is the worst most picky eater ever. He won't eat unless there's a little something extra in his food bowl. High. Maintenance! He's also a huge hunter but less of a maniac than Ruckus in the field.

Oh gosh ... I can't even decide! I am obsessed with all the plaid and love the holiday chevron bandana. We also love the colorful geometric bandana! We call that one Ruck's psychedelic bandana.  

The quality and the customer service. It's totally unmatched. That snap y'all, geeeeniuuss!!!! And Kaylynne is one strong lady boss! So admirable and inspiring.

Stephanie & Finn - @thegoldenfinn

Location - Missouri! Mainly Kansas City area!

I am currently attending Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine for their biomedical science masters program! I do photography on the side, and will be taking a year off in 2017 to explore my talents and see if I want to be a photographer or a physician. I am 5 feet tall and have a terrible sense of humor (only I think I'm funny). I am also a terrible singer, but I love to do it anyway! I enjoy taking baths, cooking, and lifting in my spare time (aka when I'm not taking photos of my dog or studying).  

Oh man where do I begin? Finn was born February 23rd 2015, and I remember the day I picked him out. He was 4 weeks old, chubby as can be, and the only pup to have a white patch on his chest. Safe to say I was instantly captured by him. We have spent the last 10 or so months really getting to know each other, and now we are each other's best friends. He thinks he needs me, but really I would be nothing without him. That seems cliché but honestly he is my only real friend. People have their parents, who love them unconditionally (or who are supposed to), siblings who would rather not know you sometimes, and significant others who can break your heart or make it whole. But a dog? A living breathing canine who spends its every waking moment wishing that every moment would last forever in a field with you, tennis balls, and sticks? That's love. That's my best friend. That is the boy who I miss when I'm asleep, and love when he poops out my underwear or throws up my socks. That, my friends, is hard to beat. Anyway, he eats a lot of socks... Even if you think you have them picked up. He. Will. Find. Them. He eats his dog food in .2 seconds, and really loves those toys that you can put peanut butter or treats in. He also doesn't like to sleep in my bed, which makes me mad, but I guess the floor is cold and keeps him cool! That is all. Finally (I know).  

I became friends with @lokithegoldengod and saw their post about Hoot & Co bandanas and literally that night I bought a bandana and a matching bow tie!  

The red and black flannel! It has a nice touch of yellow too! 

For sure Kaylynne! You can have an awesome business, but if you don't have good customer service and someone who is literally willing to go above and beyond for you, then you will fail. I ordered a XXL bandana from her right around Christmas and it was way too big for Finn, but the reason I ordered it was because the triangle on the XL part seemed too small for him on his first bandana. So I sent her and email and minutes later (without a second thought) she emailed me back saying she would custom make a size right for him... Now that is GOOD!
